The Christmas Nuggets
Mix: 2 cups of flour with 1 teaspoon of salt.
Cream: 1/2 cup of shortening with 1/2 cup of butter and 1/2 cup of powdered sugar; then Blend in 1 tablespoon of vanilla and 1/2 cup of chopped nuts, then Add this to the flour mixture. Shape into small balls. Top with candied red and green cherries or a half pecan.
Bake at 325 degrees for 25 minutes.
After cooled sprinkle with powdered sugar.
